A cooperative multi-grade small earning community within Montclair High School, MACHE offers advanced technical and specialized enrichment that successfully integrates vocation and academics to students interested in pursuing careers in the culinary field.
By incorporating and utilizing Montclair’s culinary community, MACHE features monthly interactive seminars, of global and immediate interest, presented via local chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and other culinary world notables. The interactive seminars will be selected, coordinated and arranged by MACHE director, Pamela Wright, in cooperation with Montclair Food & Wine Festival. Necessary expenses for seminars will be provided for by the non-profit Montclair Food & Wine Festival.
MACHE enhances academic achievement by bringing local business owners and entrepreneurs closer to the local student body. Students of MACHE will be provided with opportunities to participate in a variety of career experiences including shadowing, mentoring, through our Mentor Restaurant Network.
MACHE will also host an annual student/parent informational meetings to better support our students.
